The blaze dubbed the “Point Fire” that has burned 471 acres between Concord and Bay Point is now 100% contained, Cal Fire announced just before 6 p.m. Monday.

The initially fast-moving vegetation fire was reported shortly before 3 p.m. Friday off Evora Road, which is near Willow Pass Road in Concord. Contra Costa County activated its community warning system on Friday and residents of about 100 homes evacuated until Saturday morning.

Firefighters continue to patrol and mop up what’s left of the fire.

No injuries were reported and no buildings were destroyed.
