The West Contra Costa Unified School District will host a series of town hall meetings focused on the district’s search for a new superintendent.

The district said the meetings are open to families, staff and community members as part of its commitment to ensure every voice gets heard in the selection of the next superintendent.

The meetings are designed to provide multiple opportunities for the community to share insights on the priorities and qualities they want in their next superintendent.

A survey is now open and available in English, Spanish and Arabic. Members of the community can provide feedback through the survey, which will be available through March 10 at https://www.wccusd.net/superintendentsearch.

The first town hall meetings will be held on Monday at five locations across the district (find times and locations at the district’s website or by going to https://bit.ly/4gNgXrO).

On Tuesday, the district will host a hybrid in-person and virtual meeting in two sessions, at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., in the multi-purpose room at DeJean Middle School in Richmond. The Zoom link is https://bit.ly/4k34jb7.

Another hybrid meeting will be offered the next night, Feb. 26, at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at the library at Richmond High School. The Zoom link is https://bit.ly/4hAULm1.
