Besides giving food, clothes and shelter to the homeless, the Rescue Mission on 2nd Street and MacDonald Ave also serves as a helping hand for those who are going thru a hard time. According to the Rescue Missions website, in Contra Costa every year, about 15,000 people experience homelessness. Without their services, many men, women, and children would be out in the streets right now.
